Sustainabot Wins the Digital Sustainability Innovation Category at the 2026 BREEAM Awards
The Hungarian-developed Sustainabot has received international professional recognition: the AI-powered solution supporting BREEAM assessors has won the Digital Sustainability Innovation category at the 2026 BREEAM Awards. The development brings together Greenbors Consulting’s BREEAM expertise with AI technology.
The award was presented in London on 30 September at the 2026 BREEAM Awards ceremony. For Sustainabot, this represents an important international recognition: a solution developed in Hungary and originating from the local real estate market has reached the international forefront of the BREEAM professional community.

The 2026 Awards received more than 350 entries, with category winners selected by an independent professional judging panel. Sustainabot won among solutions that apply digital technology to support a more sustainable built environment.
BREEAM: an international benchmark for sustainable buildings
BREEAM is one of the world’s longest-established and most widely used sustainability assessment methods for buildings. Since its launch in 1990, more than 3 million assets and projects have been registered across 108 countries, making BREEAM a key sustainability reference point in the European and international real estate market.
The BREEAM Awards are one of the leading recognitions within this international professional community. In addition to outstanding buildings and developments, the Awards recognise professional excellence in areas including digital sustainability innovation.
Where Greenbors’ BREEAM expertise meets AI technology
The development of Sustainabot is built on Greenbors Consulting’s expertise in BREEAM and real estate sustainability. From the outset, the aim was not to create a general-purpose AI solution, but a system specifically designed to support BREEAM assessors in their day-to-day work.
Developed by Sustainabot Technologies Kft., the platform combines Greenbors’ professional expertise with advanced artificial intelligence technology. Sustainabot already has users across numerous European countries, from the United Kingdom to the Czech Republic and other European markets, and is being used on real BREEAM projects to support the assessment of office buildings, shopping centres, logistics properties and other assets.
An AI assistant supporting BREEAM assessors
Sustainabot supports assessors in evaluating BREEAM requirements by rapidly analysing technical documentation. The system can identify relevant information across large volumes of documentation and present it in a structured format, significantly reducing the time required for manual document review.

According to the BRE’s official assessment, Sustainabot can reduce the time spent reviewing documents by approximately 70%. At the same time, the solution does not replace the assessor’s professional judgement: its purpose is to reduce repetitive information-search tasks and give assessors more time for professional evaluation and decision-making.
The three key principles behind the development are speed, professional accuracy and data security.
An important milestone for a Hungarian-developed solution
The BREEAM Awards recognition is an important validation not only for Sustainabot, but also for Greenbors Consulting. It demonstrates how the combination of expertise built up in the Hungarian real estate market and advanced AI technology can result in solutions with international relevance.
We are proud that, through the development of Sustainabot, we have reached the international forefront of real estate sustainability and brought a Hungarian-developed solution to the global BREEAM community that addresses a genuine professional challenge with a practical solution.
