At the Portfolio Sustainable World 2022 conference, Gábor Szarvas, managing director of Greenbors & head of the HuGBC EU Taxonomy working group, also gave a presentation. The aim of the EU Taxonomy is to prioritize sustainability aspects in the financial market. The requirements of the framework are uniformly applicable at the EU level, but the fulfillment of certain requirement elements may differ depending on local regulations. The World Green Building Council and the national GBCs - including the Hungary Green Building Council (HuGBC) - took an active role in the development and application of the requirements related to real estate. Gábor spoke briefly about this role.
